Storyline: Meet the Pugs Event Safety Rules
-
Tools: Articulate Storyline, Vyond
Time in Development: 90 Days
Client: Pug Rescue of Austin

To fulfill course requirements, I created a 4-module eLearning prototype for a client who preferred alternative solutions but provided a rich opportunity to showcase instructional design skills. Branding elements like colors and fonts aligned with the client’s style, delivering a cohesive and visually appealing product that exemplifies the potential of the full course.
Using Vyond, I developed engaging videos, characters, and backgrounds, which were seamlessly integrated into Articulate Storyline. Sophisticated yet playful aesthetics reflected the charm of pugs while maintaining a polished, user-friendly design. Storyline’s interactive tools, including buttons, quizzes, and smooth navigation, enhanced the learning experience.

As the client chose alternative solutions, no measurable results are available. However, the prototype demonstrates the potential for engaging, user-friendly learning experiences and showcases my ability to design with creativity, sophistication, and alignment to branding.

I designed a comprehensive 4-module eLearning course on canine enrichment for Austin Pets Alive!’s Training and Education Center. This course equips volunteers and shelter staff with practical, actionable knowledge while being sold to other shelter organizations to extend its impact.
The course features short, digestible lessons, allowing entire modules to be completed in 8-12 minutes—perfect for busy shifts. Engaging content, including quick video demonstrations, printable infographics, and interactive presentations, keeps learners motivated. By applying best practices like scaffolding and chunking, the training ensures information is accessible, compact, and easy to retain, supporting volunteers in creating enriching experiences for dogs in their care.
-
Challenge: Limited initial research and information required me to independently explore the wide-ranging topic of canine enrichment. I needed to identify the most relevant and practical content for shelter volunteers and staff, considering varying resources and facilities across shelters.
Solution: Through thorough research, I distilled essential information into concise, engaging, and interactive lessons. While the research phase extended timelines slightly, it provided valuable insights. The final course met the client’s requirements, delivering short, impactful training that was well-received.
